Meander up through Northern Barossa to the historic village of Light Pass and discover this hidden little treasure. Immerse yourself deep in the Isabelle vineyard while enjoying a bbq or snack by the Old Settlers Cottage or experience a tasting of the extra layers of flavour in these expertly handcrafted wines by the “Dirtman”- Rob Gibson.
Relax and enjoy family stories from our friendly staff. Become a Gibson “Friend” or “Adventurer” and take some lovely wine back home to enjoy your memories of the Barossa.
Here we connect the historic rammed red earth with the flavoursome wine and modern cellar door…in a way that shows respect for heritage and the earth from which it grew.
The original “Angas” title dates back to 1840’s with ceding from Angas to Emma Irrgang in 1876. The cottage was built by Angas workmen prior to this date.
The Barossavale property includes the rammed earth cottage and rustic surrounds with its old verandah, wood fired oven, modern iron and mud rendered cellar door area, adjacent garage winery, the family home and 3 hectares of land with 2 hectares of the Isabelle vineyard included.
The family friendly environment has toys for the little ones, a large lawn area to run around, hopscotch, ring toss and a petanque court. Outdoor seating is provided, so bring along your picnic, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Barossa.
