Vintage Report 2021

An extract from the BGWA report forms the highlights of our 2021 Vintage Report…

Winter rainfall in 2020 was 148mm (22% below average)

Some frost-damage occurred on the 27th September, when temperatures plunged to minus -0.3°C.

Conditions  were quite favourable during flowering, allowing bunches to set and good fruit development.

It was welcome relief to achieve close to average crops in comparison to the previous two seasons.

Harvest continued well into April as the dry Indian summer continued to ripen the grapes.

The varietal expression from both Barossa and Eden Valley was broadly evident especially in Riesling and
Shiraz with a cool ripening index in January and fine weather.
